Dating from 1895, this charming "little Achamore House" is full of character and is ideally placed to experience the abundant wildlife within the area. The cottage does have its own delightful garden, growing amongst other plants the "cabbage palms". However for a real treat Achamore Gardens can be found just a short walk away. An abundant display of rare and unusual plants cover 50 acres of secluded gardens and woodland, and surround the imposing Achamore House.

South Lodge is found to the south of the island and is very close to the South Pier, where a fascinating evening can be spent watching the local fishermen come in and tie up for the night. This is also a very good opportunity to see the local seals coming to the water surface hoping for a free meal.

The spacious lodge sleeps up to 8 comfortably and is ideal for a large family or two families sharing, At circa £13 per person per night(based on eight staying). In addition there are 2x Z beds available enabling accommodation for 10. There is central heating throughout, a well-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, drier and dishwasher. The large lounge boasts a cosy log fire. Logs and kindling are available by arrangement.

The Lodge is Dog friendly.

NB: Two Bathrooms, two double bedrooms and two twin rooms + 2 x Z beds. Travel Cot for infants is available
