One of a group of two traditional cottages overlooking the picturesque Ardminish Bay and Sound of Gigha to the mainland, this open plan cottage is ideally located to explore the fascinating Island of Gigha. Each croft affords excellent views of the Boathouse beach adn the bustling yaht anchorage, which in the summer is a profusion of colour.
The Ferry croft 1 is ideally located to explore this wonderful little island. There are excellent beaches where the abundant bird and wildlife can be viewed in peace and quiet. A pleasent stroll down the main road of Gigha to the south takes you to Achamore Gardens - 50 acres of rare and unusaul plants in secluded gardens sheltered by surrounding woodland. The Gigha Hotel provides a friendly and welcoming reception when you decide not to cook or expierence the wonderful cuisine of the Boathouse overlooking the beach and the bay. The seafood is caught locally and you can actually talk to the fishermen at the South Pier when they come in for the evening with their catches. You will also have a chance of seeing the seals coming in for their evening meals.
Ferry Croft 1 provide extrmely comfortable accomodation, sleeping four with two single beds on the upstairs gallery and a bed sofa/single bed downstairs. A travel cot is avaible on request for infants. Dogs are welcome. The kitchen provides a gas cooker and fridge. The heating is by electricity and there is a colour television.
Access to the cottages is after 4pm on the day of arrival. Please make sure that you have your key safe code where you will find the key.
